Introduction to my Senior Synthesis Project Series

For over a decade, I have spent time as a camper, volunteer, or employee with The Center for Wooden Boats (CWB) and recently the greater maritime community. This community has had a great impact on my life and has allowed me to grow. Through this series of audio recordings and written posts, I hope to be able to discuss how maritime creates a culture of learning, environmentalism, and community.

Most of my life, I have had an untraditional education but through this, I was allowed to find my passions. Being a part of the maritime community as a sailing instructor, live aboard sailboat owner, and youth programs manager has allowed me to follow what I love most into adulthood.

In April and May 2024, I will be releasing a series of written articles and audio pieces that explore the impact of nature on my life and discuss how we can apply these insights to transform our communities.

Each written piece will focus on a different pillar of Creating Community Change Via Our Land and Seas. Each audio recording will focus on people and their experiences.
